An Australian startup raised a US$7M seed round, and it was co-founded by the person who most recently led product growth at Canva. The company is Adora.
The problem
When millions of people use your app, you have very little idea how they actually move through it. Where they get stuck, where they drop off, what they never find. Teams either guess or drown in dashboards.
The fix
Adora gives software companies a bird’s eye view of their product in production. It automatically captures the screens and paths users take, maps the whole product, and layers analytics, session replays and AI insights over the top to show where things break.
The proof
Blackbird lists Canva, Notion, Replit, Linktree and Granola among its customers. Those are some of the sharpest product teams around, and they are not short of analytics tools.
The round
- US$7M seed, announced in February 2026
- Led by Blackbird
- With Skip Capital, Designer Fund, Garuda Ventures and Co Ventures
- Angels from Canva, Notion and Linktree
The founders
CEO Omar Salem was most recently Head of Product Growth at Canva. CTO Nathan Scully built and led engineering teams at Oneflare and Amazon.
My read
This is the Canva effect playing out. People who learnt their craft inside one of Australia’s biggest tech success stories are leaving to build tools for the problems they saw up close. Salem spent years trying to understand how Canva’s users behaved. Now he is selling that answer to everyone else, and Canva is a customer.
