Three moves from one week in June. One company raised $65M to do something most of the health system still isn’t set up for: catch problems before they turn into illness.
Everlab (Melbourne)
Everlab raised A$65M in a Series A led by Airtree, with Plural, Left Lane Capital and b2venture in, plus angels including Test captain Pat Cummins. The app pulls your diagnostics, doctors, specialists, prescriptions and AI care into one place so risks get spotted early.
The company says it has processed more than 21 million biomarker test results, and that more than 25% of members have had something flagged that the existing system hadn’t picked up.
Flyweel (Queensland)
Flyweel raised $2.41M in pre-seed, led by Ten13, with Antler, QIC and angels including Zip cofounder Larry Diamond and Stake cofounder Matt Leibowitz. It connects ad platforms, CRM and accounting, and is building products like lending that funds ad spend upfront and gets repaid from incoming revenue. The US is its first market for those products, because that’s where adoption has been strongest.
Australia ranks first for venture growth
Side Stage Ventures’ Australian Venture & Startup Report 2026, built on Dealroom data, found the value of Australia’s VC-backed ecosystem has grown 13.7x since 2016. That outpaces every major peer on its numbers.
My read
The ranking is the headline, but Everlab is the one I’d watch. A 25% hit rate on things the normal system missed is the kind of stat that sells itself, as long as it holds up as the member base grows.
